Long Term Rentals – Rental amount update for 2025
The annual rent update coefficient for 2025 has been published, establishing a maximum increase of 2.16% in rent. We remind you that, except in cases where the Lease Agreement initially establishes the annual increase value, this is the maximum applicable ceiling.
Short Term Rentals – “+ Habitação” becomes history
Yesterday, DL 76/2024 was published in the Diário da República, effective from November 1, 2024. This Decree Law revokes most of the changes regarding Local Accommodation resulting from the “+ Housing” package of 2023, which, as expected, was a complete failure

O setor do Alojamento Local teve esta tarde uma grande vitória na Assembleia da República, que votou e aprovou a autorização ao Governo para revogar a CEAL e o agravamento de IMI com efeitos retroativos, pelo que estes tributos não serão cobrados.
